Can I split a card order in separate
sets of cards? Same design but different sets for
different people? |
Yes, we can do
that for plastic card orders, BUT NOT for any of the paper based
cards. |
Do you offer lower quantities? I
don't need that many. |
Unfortunately
the quantities listed are the standard printruns, we can
do more, but not less. If you are looking for very short
runs, printers with digital printers can usually
accommodate those need better... not the same quality, but
they can even print 10 cards if they want. |
What is your standard turnaround
time? And can I pay for rush service? |
For most jobs
turnaround time is about 10-12 days. Rush is possible at
no extra cost depending of orders and time of
year/workload. Please contact us for details. |
Why are prices so different between
various vendors? |
Quality of
printing, attention to detail and printing equipment can
create different costs for different products between
various vendors, even if the products have the same name.
To avoid "comparing apples and oranges", make sure you are
holding samples from different vendors work before making
a decision. This could save you from having to pay twice
for the same print job. |
Will your cards work with my POS
system? Will my hardware "read" the magnetic stripes on
your cards? |
Yes, these
days most systems will read and write any magnetic stripe.
HiCo or LoCo, two track or three track magnetic stripes.
However, it is always preferable to make sure by
testing our cards on your system before we print your
order! |
What is "bleed"? |
"Bleed" refers
to elements outside the finished piece. Printers require
bleed on pieces to print to allow for "printer bounce"
when cutting a job down to size. Failing to provide bleed
information and crop marks can result in finished pieces
showing a thin area of white on the edge or even cut off
information. Parts of the design or text that must
absolutely be part of the final product must be at least
1/8" away from the trim line. |
I already have my own design, do you
print designs other than the ones you create? |
Of course!
There is usually a backlog for design work at Andreoni.com,
so your ready to print files are more than welcome! Please
make sure to use one of our templates to create and submit
your artwork. |
The colors on my design don't look
the same in CMYK. They looked a lot different in RGB. What
happened? |
When creating
artwork for print you should always have your software set
in "CMYK preview" that way you won't have any surprises
when it's converted to CMYK for printing. RGB mode is only
possible on monitors. Those bright pure colors like red
and blue cannot be recreated in printing. |
Can you use the logo and images from
my website to create a card? |
If your
website displays large, high resolution JPEG files without
the high compression ratio we usually see online, we can
try, however, in most cases, images online have been sized
and compressed to a minimum. Printing those images would
result in blurry distorted images. |
Do you offer 4/4 full color printing
on both sides? |
Yes, all cards
are always printed in four color process on both sides.
(All cards, plastic, lenticular and paper) |
Do you offer SPOT UV on both sides
of the cards? |
Yes, each side
is printed in full color process and both sides can have
SPOT UV applied at no extra charge. (All cards, plastic,
lenticular and paper) |
Can you encode magnetic stripes? |
Yes, we
provide that service at no extra charge. We offer most
other individualization services for plastic cards also at
no extra charge (bar-coding, thermal printing and
embossing of membership lists and other alpha numeric
data, numbering, PINs etc). |
Can you number cards or add
different barcodes to each card of my order of plastic
cards? |
Yes, we
provide that service at no extra charge. We offer most
other individualization services for plastic cards also at
no extra charge (bar-coding, thermal printing and
embossing of membership lists and other alpha numeric
data, numbering, PINs etc). |
Why are you charging to send sample
kits when other vendors send them free of charge? |
Over the last
10 years we've sent tens of thousands of sample kits
absolutely free of charge, however, as we started to get
featured on design and printing websites and various
other printed media, as well as being "picked up" by so called
"freebie" websites, requests for free sample kits soared
to unsustainable levels. To combat and eliminate useless
requests from those who are simply seeking free stuff, we started
requesting shipping fees. |
Can I use my own UPS or FedEx
account for shipping? |
Yes of
course... you can use your own account and there will be
no fees. |
Can I get a credit for the sample
kit shipping fee if I end up ordering cards with AndreoniCards? |
Absolutely. If
you ordered a sample kit and subsequently
place an order for cards, you will be refunded the
shipping fee you paid for it. |
What are the standard card sizes?
Can you do different sizes? What about rounded corners? |
Standard size
for paper business cards is 3.5x2". Standard size for
plastic cards is 3.375x2.125" (like a credit card). We can
do various sizes but there is a diecut charge of $180
regardless of the type or size of the order. Plastic cards
come standard with the rounded corners, but paper cards
don't. |
Can I upload my file for you to
review without making a purchase? |
Yes, it's
actually encouraged. |
What can I check on my electronic
proof? |
The electronic
proof is sent by email for your review and approve the
final layout, bleeds, crops and final text. It is by no
means an accurate color reproduction of your final printed
piece. If your file is color-critical, you may order a
hard copy proof (plastic cards only - $180). When you are
ready to place the order, simply approve the emailed proof
and we'll then proceed with payment. |
Do you offer hard copy proofs? |
Yes, we offer
production samples which are 99% identical to the final
printed pieces. Such proofs are recommended for
color-critical art and large quantity orders. These must
be requested when the print order is made. Hard copy
proofs are available for plastic card orders only ($180). |
Turnaround Time |
The estimated
production turnaround is based on the typical number of
hours or days that a print job is completed under normal
circumstances, excluding Saturdays, Sundays and holidays.
Production would start when all of the following are met:
all print-ready artwork is uploaded, full payment is
received and in cases so requested by the customer or
required by us, when the proof is approved online through
email. For orders where a hard copy proof has been
requested, a confirmation should be received by Andreoni
before printing can proceed.
Note that transit time for shipping is always additional
to production turnaround and it is therefore advised that
this be taken into consideration upon placing the order.
While we exercise due diligence to meet your target
finished date, unforeseen delays in delivery services,
breakdown of equipments, illness, inclement weather and
other occurrences may impact our ability to meet the
deadline. |
How do I track my order? |
You can track
your order by simply emailing us or using the contact
form. Once shipped you will receive a UPS tracking number
by email. |
Can I cancel my order? |
An order may
be cancelled on condition that no work has been completed
for that order. However, an order cannot be cancelled if
and when
•The order has been sent to production.
•The ordered item has been printed.
•The order is already packaged.
•The order is en route to you.
•The order has been delivered. |
What payment methods do you accept? |
We currently
accept the following credit cards for payment:
•Visa
•MasterCard
•American Express
•Paypal |
When am I billed for my order? |
The full
amount of the order is automatically billed to your credit
card at the time your order is placed. |
